What a fun end to June and beginning of July. There was so much fun to be had. Now that I am back at work (and the fact that our internet was on the fritz) I will just play a quick game of catch up. Mia goes to daycare during the day while Dan and I go to work and is really liking being with the other kids. She is talking up a storm, especially in the morning. Turns out she is going to be a morning person just like her dad! She has not completely rolled over yet but loves to roll from side to side, and loves to roll onto her side to nap.
We all traveled down to watch Tim do his triathalon June 20th. He did such a fantastic job and we were so proud of him!
Mia had fun her 1st 4th of July weekend. She had to get a good nap in to keep up with all the fun. We had a great time hanging out with Grandma Janet, Grandpa Howie, and Great-Grandparents Jo & Howie. We went out to eat, grilled steaks, went swimming at the hotel, and watched fireworks. Mia was so excited she conked out before the fireworks and stayed sleeping... nothing can wake us up once we've fallen asleep (a family trait).

Mia has discovered a new talent. She loves to find her hands and chew on them...
Sometimes 2 at the same time. Skillz!

Eve stayed with us for the month of June and we had a great time. Pretty soon Eve will be our neighbor and we will get many more hours of fun :)
Having marvelous times at Mia's first wedding... who knew that she and Ella had called eachother beforehand to coordinate their outfits. They are just so stylish!
Too much partying = fast asleep on the dance floor / Dad's shoulder

I also spent my first nights away from Mia. I went to the lake for a little girls weekend (SPHSSFC2000TAGW2010). It was a ton of fun and I only came back looking a little lobster-esque. Dan got to spend plenty of quality time with Mia. I, of course, forgot my camera at home but there are plenty of facebook photos from the weekend. Since then we have been crazy busy getting our house ready and it is finally on the market. We need a little more room for our little family (or at least a second bathroom). That's all for now...

Weeks 8 to 10

Nobody enjoys her Dilly Bar like Ella

No Dilly Bar for Mia... guess she'll just nap.

Dad is pretty much the most comfortable thing on the planet!

Grandma Janet isn't so bad herself...

A little sun is good for everyone on Memorial Day!

Lots of sun and naps are what long weekends are about!

Mom and Mia just watchin' the Twins

Time to head out to help Jamie garden on Memorial Day Weekend.

She is so helpful...

Tahoe tried to help as well...

Kinda starting to think that nobody was actually helping besides Dan...

Now Dan has earned his nap

Week 9 brought lots of fun... and headbands :)

Someone isn't exactly sure about this whole headband thing...

Chillin' in the sun with Luke while Jessi and Sarah drink some coffee... iced of course

Dan got his wisedom teeth removed 2 days before Mia's Baptism (6/3/10). He was interesting on his pain killers...

Godmother Betsy and Mia on her big day! 6/5/10

The whole crew showed up just for Mia. What a great bunch :)

Mia and her Godparents Dan & Betsy!

Mia and her bomber hat... This became the new background on all the computers at work :)

Based on my horrible on-again/off-again relationship with technology I been unable to keep up on blogging. So I am going to need to summarize those last 3 weeks of maternity leave. In a nutshell: We had a great time Memorial Day Weekend, Mia was baptised, she went for her first swim, we had to say goodbye to our very good friends (The Sprengelers) as they set out on a new adventure in Michigan, Eve moved in with us for a few weeks, and we had lots of coffees with Kerry and Ella. Hopefully the pictures will be a better summary...
