A Madison Christmas

Off to Madison, Minnesota for a fun Christmas weekend!

-- Yes we do!
Gotta love Kubota - so fashion forward!
Greg's one of us now! Go BIG TEN!!!
Supporting SunDrop & Madison at the same time.
Hangin' Out with all the Lindes and the "Linde Pass"...
Jessi's scheming with DeAnne to try and end up with the homemade wine...
No luck again (Thanks Greg)
One of these things is not like the other...
Sarah the Elf helping Santa get the gifts out and ready. Everyone takes a turn sitting on his lap.
"Hey... What's going on...I'm not so sure about this guy"
"Well, this is a little better - I know this lady..."
"Well, if mom thought this was ok..."
"OK, I can do this. Merry Christmas Santa!"
What a great time in Madison!

Attempting the christmas picture

Ok, so maybe we were a little overly-ambitious about getting all 4 of us in a christmas picture and looking nice. We just thought it would be fun to have Mia, Tahoe, Dan, and I in our pic this year...

A few of the participants didn't really agree. We went to Eve and Eric's house for dinner and they played photographer. Their subjects were a little less cooperative.

Tahoe noticed that Mia was given something to chew on and wondered where his treat was...

That's it... Enough of this...

This was the best one of the day... Mia eating an ornament and the dog pouting on the floor. So we tried standing up somewhere else, but Amelia had had enough.

"Seriously Mom, I am done!"
A few days later it was back to the basics... Dan taking the picture with his right arm while we all try to squeeze into the picture. (Oh, and Mia got a candy cane to play with!)

This was a cute one, but half of Dan's head was missing...

Now Mia's head is cut off...

"I don't know about you guys, but this is delicious!"

Dan looks a little frightening....

And the winning picture is.....

You will just have to wait for the christmas card to find out. Have a Merry Christmas and hope your picture taking requires just as much fun and excitement!!!

Mia's first snowday!

" What is that stuff outside?"
"C'mon dad, let's go and check this out!"

Ok, so technically she didn't need to go to school (daycare) today... yeah it is a Saturday, but we officially declared it a snow day. We took Mia out to play in the snow which she loved watching fall down from the sky...
"Brrr... this stuff is cold!!!!"
"Thank you for getting that off my face!"

Tahoe is so helpful in making a snowman...

Actually, it is a snow-woman and her name is Margarite (we live on Lavaque zo her name needed to be zo Frensh... huw,huw,huw... zaid wis my best french accent... wich is zo bad)

Not sure what prompted these pictures or how we found the motivation at 6:15am ... but this is the morning routine (in no particular order). Up, dressed and ready to eat and wander around. Mia love to eat and walk... just like her Mom :)

Mia's 1st Halloween

Mia had her first halloween ever! Our first order of business was to carve the pumpkin. We did as always and put down newspaper (to minimize cleanup) and put the beautiful pumpkin next to the baby to carve. At first she was a little curious about the pumpkin...
but then something else caught her eye...
Why play with a pumpkin where there are newspapers to eat :)
Dad was still able to carve a wonderful pumpkin while Amelia slept from all the newspaper excitement!
After Sunday naps it was time to get up and put on our costumes... Mia decided to go as a giraffe and Dan and I decided to go as hopeful Vikings fans...

Pretty much the cutest giraffe of all time!

The great giraffe wanders around the safari looking for something to shove in her mouth...
Found it!
Off to the Hadiari's house for a little dinner and trick-or-treating with her friend Ella. What an adorable bee!!!
It was a pretty chilly night but dad was there to keep Mia warm. What a fun first halloween.
The drool says it all!!!

Mia's First IceCream

Mia's first experience with Icecream = AWESOME!!!!!!!

Winter and Summer Homes

Well, we have the internet now. Still slowly moving into our new house. We are all moved in... and by that I mean we have everything at the new place in piles and boxes. We are slowly getting settled. After the house selling fiasco, we are happy to just be sleeping in a bed. For those of you who want to appreciate your sleeping arrangements, try an airmatress for 3 weeks (but make sure there is a hole in it for the last week so you can get up every night at 2 to reinflate it :)) In the meantime, I believe that it is time for a little photo catch up for the past internet-free month!
At the beginning of Mia has decided that she is going to start sitting... "Whoa MOM!!!"
This is one of the few airplane rides where there isn't a string of drool that either hits me or the floor :) Gotta love teething!
What are these things and what am I supposed to with them?...
MMM... Tasty!

Mia is getting really good at "eating" - She loves when her dad feeds her... this is the old set up.. 2 card table chairs and a table with a booster chair. Yet another reason I love our new house!

Just practicing for halloween. This is Mia's Daycare outfit (as she is sure to be changed out of it before the end of the day and her halloween costume would be way too warm).

What is this... I know that she can't eat these yet but they are still great and exciting none-the-less!
